Cory David Barker

Encyclopedia of Big Pictures Initiative Leader Cory David Barker is a transdisciplinary and archdisciplinary scholar. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Social Science and Informatics, and is pursuing a PhD in Cognitive Science from University of Jyväskylä in Finland where his PhD research focuses on applying big picture thinking to improved AGI design. His general research spans across individual and social knowledge architectures and developmental processes, complex systems theory, and comparative analysis of meta-languages. Barker has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals on topics associated with the Model of Hierarchical Complexity (MHC) in the Journal of Applied Measurement and the Behavioral Development Bulletin, and Barker led a multi-author book entitled Foundations of Archdisciplinarity, which aims to establish archdisciplinarity as the scholarly scope of inquiry that studies big picture, transdisciplinary, theory of everything, unification metatheoretical frameworks. Currently, Cory David Barker serves as the President of The Archdisciplinary Research Center, an organization that focuses on archdisciplinary and archtheoretical research and innovation.

INSIGHT

INSIGHT is a software tool being designed to evaluate the complexity of reasoning within any narrative. It scans texts, assessing the level of intellectual complexity and identifies the developmental stage of the reasoning. INSIGHT provides detailed analysis, helping users understand how ideas evolve, revealing gaps in reasoning, and offering pathways for improvement. Its aim is to make the concept of developmental stages accessible to all, fostering clearer communication, better sense-making, and more effective decision-making.
